The Method
The EnglishEspresso Method is based on learning English through practical experience – that means speaking and communication.
Becoming confident and fluent in English is the focus of each session, there will also be plenty of time to practice speaking with your native teacher during our free time and when we are relaxing together as a group.
The holiday setting in an exclusive Italian location, is the perfect setting to enrich every moment and interact in English for a whole week.
Our teaching program is concentrated on both facilitated and spontaneous English conversations, this combination offers a fast and effective language learning experience.
We provide an really immersive experience by combining English speaking lessons and excursions and activities which all focus on becoming more confident and fluent in English.

Who is it for?
The EnglishEspresso method is perfect for you if you really want to improve your speaking and communication skills in English.
The holiday is designed for intermediate speakers of English who wish to push forward to the next level – the objective of the week is to become confident and fluent when you speak English.
Don’t worry if you think your level is too low to join the group – if you are able to make a sentence in English you will benefit greatly from the holiday – your native teacher Alex, will give you all the support you need.
The English Espresso group is reserved for a limited number of participants, in order to allow Alex, your teacher to give you all the support and guidance you need.
At the beginning of the week , you will have a one-to-one meeting with your teacher, in order to identify exactly what you need in order to move forward.
Activities and programming
All the activities are guided by your native teacher and you’ll get 80 hours of practice during the week.
Here is a break down of the activities:
English Lesson
The conversation sessions are at the heart of the English Espresso experience: your teacher is going to guide a natural conversation about stimulating topics which will highlight idiomatic language, tricky grammar and build your confidence in speaking.
English Cultural Trip
We are going to visit the surrounding area which offers some of the most renowned places in Italy. We will practice English while we are traveling, busy discovering, admiring the scenery and wandering around with Alex and our local tour guides.
English Tutorial
One to one conversations with your teacher are provided for an in-depth assessment of your level and what you should do to improve your English.
English Chilling & Relax
When you are relaxed you tend to speak much more fluently and easily than when you are stressed, right? That’s why our time together chilling at the house is going to give your English a massive boost!
English Gourmet
Let’s share our thoughts about our favorite foods, our cooking traditions and enjoy a drink and some delicious Italian food. There is so much opportunity to learn and practice while eating and drinking together.
English Movie, Game & Book
Reading, watching films and playing games are such an important part of your journey to fluency. You’ll pick natural phrases and structures even without realising.

Teacher
The native English teacher will be in Italy only for English Espresso Event.
English Espresso training implies that all the activities scheduled are guided by the English teacher, available to share any curiosity, questions and languange insights.
All English conversations will be pleasant moments of relaxation for educational purposes: our teacher will propose a number of topics highlighting idioms, grammatical focus or phrasal verbs, for a real and comprehensive English language experience and immersion.

My name is Alex and I am an experienced and qualified English teacher.
I qualified as a teacher at The Greenwich School of English in 2007. After qualifying I taught at The Greenwich School of English for a while before going to Italy to teach.
In Italy I worked with many students one a one to basis and I also collaborated with several companies.
When I came back to London I started my own business which is called Big Fish English. The mission of the company is to help people become fluent in English in a fun and stimulating way.
I really love seeing my students reach fluency in English and then going on to do amazing things with their lives – after all English is a skill that will change your life.
